GULP has recently added a brand new space! This month we’ve launched our Bottleshop and Webshop, an extension of our popular Riverside Taproom. Our new space provides additional room to unwind, socialise, learn, and enjoy an extended range of rotating craft beer, natural wines, spirits and snacks.
We are looking for a manager to be the face of our new space. This involves managing the day-to-day operations, whilst up-keeping an exceptional customer experience and bringing craft beer, wines and spirits to life - no matter where drinkers are in their exploration journey. The manager will also be responsible for the day to day operations of the brand new webshop - gulpbeer.co
Responsibilities
- Creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where visitors to the store are priority above all else, making sure whoever comes into GULP feels as if it's a second home, and keep coming back.
- Learning the product offerings inside out to help customers navigate the options and learn more. Engaging with stories from the independent producers we stock, to bring the goods to life and be the experts in the field.
- Grow lasting relationships with our customers. GULP regulars are the best!
- Follow up and resolve any customer service issues that occur with goods, customers, service or equipment.
- GULP is run by a small but fun crew, all of us need to serve customers, and carry out operational procedures. You may be asked to help out in the taproom during busy periods.
Bottleshop management
- Administration (basic sales reporting, forecasting, and invoicing)
- Inventory management (including feedback, insights, menu curation) and working with our suppliers.
- Create standard operating procedures and monitor adherence to these.
- Always seeking out ways to continually improve and develop customer enjoyment. This can be anything, from experiences, events, processes, service levels, increasing learning, product quality, all the way through to what music goes on.
Webshop management
- Pack and organise fulfilment of webshop orders
- Be accountable for daily maintenance of webshop
- Product creation and uploads
- EDM Newsletter creation and scheduling
- Bug reporting, proof reading and troubleshooting
- Curate Blog content, photography and subsequent editing
- SEO marketing (or a willingness to learn and carry out basic SEO principles)
- Social media management (alongside the taproom team)
- Creating/uploading products, fulfilment and post-order customer service
Skills Required

Have 2+ years of bar or retail experience, preferably with craft beer, spirits or wine knowledge. OR have demonstrable experience in e-commerce, multi-channel retail.
- If not, we'd still like to hear from you! but you should have a strong desire to learn and be one of the best in the industry.
- We know some of the best people to learn from and we can learn through tasting some high quality booze!
- Good knowledge of e-commerce retailing and physical retailing.
- Excellent communication skills with customers, instore and online, as well as the rest of the team.
- Be friendly, engaging and approachable.
- Dedication to getting stuff done, completing actions and having fun in the process.
- A strong appreciation for upkeeping workplace standards.
- A love to lead from the front and set the best examples.
Skills Desired
- Experience using Shopify E-commerce platform
- Experience and knowledge of SEO principles
- Food handling certifications (this can be provided if not possessed).
Salary range
- Depending on skills, experience and suitability we are looking to pay $4-5k SGD per month.
